Terms And Conditions

D-O-G Grooming Studio's priority is the welfare of the pets in our care and to maintain client satisfaction. We aim to give you and your pet the best service we can.

By completing a Client Registration you confirm your agreement to these Terms and Conditions and that we may rely on the information provided.

We will not share your details with any other organisation. However, from time to time we will contact you by phone, text, email or post with news, offers and service updates. We may also photograph or video your pet and use these images on our website, Instagram or Facebook page. Please let us know if you do not wish to receive such information or do not want us to use images of your pet.

At the time of your pet's appointment please ensure that they are fit and healthy and all vaccinations are up to date. Grooming of sick or elderly pets is entirely at the owner's risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems that we cannot be held liable for, please contact your Vet for advice.

Pets are not to be fed 2 hours prior to their appointment and please ensure they are adequately toileted.

Pets with extremely matted coats will be charged extra. If we feel that de-matting your pet would cause too much stress and discomfort we may recommend a complete clip down. This will dramatically change your pet's appearance, as their hair will be short and close to the skin.

If your pet becomes ill whilst in our care we may call a Vet and unless it can be clearly shown that D-O-G Grooming Studio are liable, all Vet costs shall be at the owner's expense. If an injury becomes apparent after the grooming session, it must be reported within 48 hours otherwise we are unable to accept any liability.

We may refuse to groom a pet that presents a risk of injury to themselves or D-O-G Grooming Studio's staff or other customers.

Grooming of elderly and unwell dogs and/or dogs with pre-existing health conditions is entirely at the owners risk and D-O-G Grooming can not be held liable for any issues which may arise in this situation.

Payment must be made on collection of your pet. We accepts all major debit & credit cards, we do not accept cheques.

We have 48 hours cancelation policy and require a deposit to secure the appointment. Cancellation or any changes must be made 48 hours before the appointment, otherwise the deposit is non refundable. In the event that a client cancels or changes less than 48 hours before the appointment or fails to arrive to their appointment, they will be required to pay a deposit/full payment upfront to secure their future appointments. Our system will send appointment reminders about 72 hours prior to scheduled appointment, if you fail to respond to the message by replying either Yes or No confirming that you are still able to attend to your appointment. In the event when we have no response to the message, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment. Failure to reply to the text message will result in the appointment being cancelled. Failure to attend the appointment will incur full charge. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to groom your dog and you may be charge the full groom price.

Late collection, of more than 30 minutes will be charged at 20 fee per 30 minutes.

Matted Coat Release Form (if applicable)

It is known that there can be a variety of skin and hair coat problems that may occur after a complete shave down of a dog/cat, particularly, the double coated and heavy wool coated dog breeds, and long haired cats. We only offer short comfort cuts for cats, where a very short blade will be used to remove the coat on the body. The very short blade ensures the safety of the clipping process as cats have an extremely thin skin. We do our best to blend along legs and around the neck, but due to the short shave, and temperament of the cat it is not always possible.

THOSE PROBLEMS MAY BE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

         Loss of hair growth

The coat not growing back in the same texture and/or colour prior to shaving

         Bald patches

Hyper pigmentation of the skin. Darkening of the skin where the coat has not grown back

Loss of Guard coat the Top Layer of the coat

Coarse re-growth of hair in different directions

Exposure to the elements, Sun/Heat damage or stroke; cold increment weather

         Exposure to bug bites

Reduced protection from bush, sticks scratching etc.

Feel the need to lick shaved area that feels exposed, this must be discouraged if happens as secondary infection of the skin can occur

Knowing that any and all of the above conditions can occur, I authorize my groomer to shave down my pet in case the coat is heavily matted.

We keep client records for 7 years, and then destroy them before recycling. You have the right to request any information we hold about you. We will provide copy(ies) within 30 days.

Client Reviews

Best grooming parlour Ive tried! After a recommendation from a friend we went to the Wandsworth branch and are so happy that there is a D-O-G Grooming Studio in Wimbledon Park now too. Having a timid dog who was so resistant to being groomed its really lovely that on collection he is happy and looking gorgeous. The team are super helpful and kind. Would highly recommend.

Monty is always so excited to attend his groom. He knows where were going as soon as we cross at the traffic lights and literally screams and yelps in excitement. Hes clearly well treated while hes being groomed and its like a play date for him. Great, professional place.

I've been taking my little cavapoo here for a while now. DOG Grooming studio have always done an immaculate groom and we've been very pleased each time.
I would advise to book your next appointment in advance each time as it all gets booked up 6-8 weeks in advance.
Price wise they're very competitive and always polite and welcoming. Thank you again and we look forward to using you for many more grooms

I contacted DOG Grooming Studio Plinko Wandsworth on Monday about my puppy cockapoo (14 weeks old) having her very first groom. Alex was so efficient, helpful and friendly and responded to my enquiry immediately. Alex then kindly arranged for my puppy to visit (48 hours from initial enquiry) today for her very first puppy groom. My puppy has returned home looking very happy, beautifully groomed and smells gorgeous and even has a little bow on her harness :) I am so, so pleased. I can highly recommend and I will be using DOG Grooming Studio Plinko Wandsworth for my puppy. Amazing value, customer service and grooming service.

Samantha

My toy poodle has been going here since she was 12 weeks old and adores the staff here. I always know she's in safe hands with the team here and she always comes out looking extra extra cute and happy after her groom and cuddles from the team. Peter and his wife Alex have been so helpful to me with poodle advice, as they have a gorgeous poodle themselves and they're always on hand to give me some tips on coat change and matting which I've found so invaluable as a first time poodle owner :) thank you so much for taking such good care of my Rua and making her look her best always!

My Mum always gets her Shitzu ( Molly) groomed here.
They're truly unique! Molly always comes out nicely cut and smelling lovely 😍

Molly always loves the attention she gets from Anita, Lucy, Charlie and everyone else. And always comes home looking and smelling beautiful. Very happy pup and very happy owners.

Brilliant. Our sproodle always looks great and loves her visits here. They take great care of her and they are easily the best groomers weve ever used by far. We always book the next appointment when we visit as they can get booked up quickly in advance. Best groom ever and will always return. The team are always friendly and I would highly recommend!

Daniel Bryant

Have had my dog groomed here three times and all times they've done a fantastic job. Staff are friendly and professional will be continuing to go here and would certainly recommend!

Abhik Gandhi

Lovely groomers. Friendly and polite staff, excellent with the poochies and very patient. We just had our first groom here with our two cocker spaniels and we have already booked in our return. Excellent service, and the little bows at the end were an adorable touch! Highly recommended

Cat Wightman

Excellent groomers. Have been back regularly for our large labradoodle. Always friendly service.

Laura McDermott

Lovely people doing wonderful work. This is a great local business in Trinity Road, Wandsworth just south of the Common. Our dog loves going to them.

James M

Great experience in every way. Lovely people. And my dog, a smooth coat border collie, had by far the best groom hes ever had. The de-shedding actually left him looking thinner and more sleek because they managed to get rid of so much built-up winter coat. Brilliant.

Candida Adams

We have taken our poodle and collie every six weeks for the last 5 years . They are so good with the dogs . The dogs always look beautiful . Especially for poodles or any oodle related canine they are the best .

LA Baker

We are very fussy when it comes to people looking after our dogs but one place we can rely on is the Dog Grooming Studio, everyone is lovely and the dogs have a great time, plus they look and smell amazing after their groom (the dogs that is!). Our biggest regret about moving away is that we will be too far to continue using these guys although I will continue to suggest they open a studio in Dorset.Thank you DGS for taking care of our pups over the last 5 years.
