At the time of your pet's appointment please ensure that they are fit and healthy and all vaccinations are up to date. Grooming of sick or elderly pets is entirely at the owner's risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems that we cannot be held liable for, please contact your Vet for advice.
Pets are not to be fed 2 hours prior to their appointment and please ensure they are adequately toileted.
Pets with extremely matted coats will be charged extra. If we feel that de-matting your pet would cause too much stress and discomfort we may recommend a complete clip down. This will dramatically change your pet's appearance, as their hair will be short and close to the skin.
If your pet becomes ill whilst in our care we may call a Vet and unless it can be clearly shown that D-O-G Grooming Studio are liable, all Vet costs shall be at the owner's expense. If an injury becomes apparent after the grooming session, it must be reported within 48 hours otherwise we are unable to accept any liability.
We may refuse to groom a pet that presents a risk of injury to themselves or D-O-G Grooming Studio's staff or other customers.
Grooming of elderly and unwell dogs and/or dogs with pre-existing health conditions is entirely at the owners risk and D-O-G Grooming can not be held liable for any issues which may arise in this situation.
Payment must be made on collection of your pet. We accepts all major debit & credit cards, we do not accept cheques.
We have 48 hours cancelation policy and require a deposit to secure the appointment. Cancellation or any changes must be made 48 hours before the appointment, otherwise the deposit is non refundable. In the event that a client cancels or changes less than 48 hours before the appointment or fails to arrive to their appointment, they will be required to pay a deposit/full payment upfront to secure their future appointments. Our system will send appointment reminders about 72 hours prior to scheduled appointment, if you fail to respond to the message by replying either Yes or No confirming that you are still able to attend to your appointment. In the event when we have no response to the message, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment. Failure to reply to the text message will result in the appointment being cancelled. Matted Coat Release Form (if applicable)
It is known that there can be a variety of skin and hair coat problems that may occur after a complete shave down of a dog/cat, particularly, the double coated and heavy wool coated dog breeds, and long haired cats. We only offer short comfort cuts for cats, where a very short blade will be used to remove the coat on the body. The very short blade ensures the safety of the clipping process as cats have an extremely thin skin. We do our best to blend along legs and around the neck, but due to the short shave, and temperament of the cat it is not always possible.
THOSE PROBLEMS MAY BE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
 Loss of hair growth
The coat not growing back in the same texture and/or colour prior to shaving
 Bald patches
Hyper pigmentation of the skin. Darkening of the skin where the coat has not grown back
Loss of Guard coat the Top Layer of the coat
Coarse re-growth of hair in different directions
Exposure to the elements, Sun/Heat damage or stroke; cold increment weather
 Exposure to bug bites
Reduced protection from bush, sticks scratching etc.
Feel the need to lick shaved area that feels exposed, this must be discouraged if happens as secondary infection of the skin can occur
Knowing that any and all of the above conditions can occur, I authorize my groomer to shave down my pet in case the coat is heavily matted.
We keep client records for 7 years, and then destroy them before recycling. You have the right to request any information we hold about you. We will provide copy(ies) within 30 days.
